 FACT’s program “Biofuels for local development: innovations in biofuels” has made good progress. The first project, involving ethanol production from cassava in Panama, has formally kicked off in October 2009. Projects in Kenya and Bolivia are about to be signed, while other projects (in Laos, Honduras and Guinee Bissau) are expected to start early next year.
