What does FACT stand for?

FACT is a not-for-profit organisation based in the Netherlands. Its goal is to promote the production and use of biofuels for local development in developing countries. The FACT mission statement tells you more.

How do I find information on the website?

What is Jatropha?

Jatropha is a tropical plant that produces oil-containing seeds. You can read more here. 

What can I expect from Jatropha?

Jatropha has drawn the attention from large-scale investors as well as from development organisations. One should be aware that there are still many uncertainties. FACT therefore recommends a step-by-step approach, as you can read in our position paper. 

Where can I order Jatropha seeds?

FACT is using seeds from suppliers who produce under controlled conditions. However, we are not yet in a position to give a generic list of suppliers whose  products would give guaranteed results. We advise you to contact us for information.

What can FACT mean for you?

If you are an organisation active on biofuels for rural development, it might make sense for you to become a FACT partner. FACT can provide you with information and experience from peer organisations. Possibly,  we may collaborate towards a research or field project in a developing country.
