The potential of Sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) for the production of bioenergy in developing countries in the tropics is described in the latest factsheet we have put online.Sugar beet can for example be grown in between monoculture sugar cane cycles and thus reduce incidence of diseases and has an extremely high sugar yield.
