Results of MFS-II application

November 3rd, 2010

Unfortunately, the Water, Energy and Food Alliance (WEFA) proposal submitted to MFS-II by Connect International (CI), Rural Energy Foundation (REF) and FACT Foundation, has not made it through the second round. In the WEFA program, FACT would have been responsible for a bio-energy program for local communities, which contained elements of market analysis, entrepreneurs training, demonstration projects in biogas, gasification and PPO electricity based on community demand, PR and policy advocacy.

However, as FACT has its biofuels and energy innovation program still open for a number of good bioenergy projects, we can still find ways to pursue our goals. We will also seek other co-financiers to support the projects that we intended to be implemented within the WEFA program. In addition, FACT will continue to cooperate with its WEFA partners in bioenergy topics.
